On April 25, 2008 the SB70 Faculty Counselor Work Experience Project will sponsor an industry based work experience for 15 faculty and counselors from high school partners and SDCCD College and Continuing Education sites. Designated teams will participate in a job shadow experience designed to update faculty and counselor knowledge of current industry needs.
In June 2008, the project will sponsor its week long Summer Institute experience which will provide a more in depth exploration of local industry sectors. From this rich experience, faculty and counselors will debrief and revise curriculum and career pathway guides to reflect the real needs of local industry and provide students with enhanced preparation for their career objectives.
