The college Certificate of Achievement is awarded for completing the required trade classes. The credit bearing programs are listed in the college catalog under Apprenticeship in the last section. The college bookstore has catalogs for sale or you can access the catalog on-line at http://www.communitycollege.net/catalogs/ .

Besides the Certificate of Achievement for completing the trades classes, the Associate in Science degree can also be awarded for completing the General Education and District course requirements. This is usually 10 classes in the following areas of study: English, Math, Science, Health, Humanities, Social Science and American Government, plus two Physical Education activity classes.

All trades students completing the Certificate of Achievement and/or Associate degree are encouraged to participate in the annual Graduation Ceremony held at the Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park at the end of Spring semester.

Looking To The Future
There are opportunities to continue to grow professionally in trades careers. Students are encouraged to learn more and expand into connected career fields such as Business Management, Construction Management, Building Inspection, Engineering and other aspects of careers in the trades.
