San Diego City College (SDCC), a Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Institution (HBCU/MI) and a division of the San Diego Community College District, has over 35 years’ experience in administering Education Support and Instructor Service contracts. The services provided have included courses in Anti-Terrorism, Force Protection, Combat Systems, Engineering, Electronics, Avionics, Logistics, Fundamental Applied Skills, Journeyman Instructor Training, Leadership, Curriculum Development, and Seamanship. In addition, SDCC has provided advanced courses in Engineering and Culinary Arts. SDCC has the corporate experience and capabilities to provide the high quality training support services outlined in this solicitation, providing an effective, accessible, responsive, and high-quality training program.

SDCC is considered a large business and is a fully qualified minority institution under section 1046 (3) of the higher education act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1067k). SDCC is listed by the United States Department of Education Accredited Postsecondary Minority Institutions as an Institution with High Hispanic Enrollment. Contract awards to SDCC apply to the Historically Black College and University/Minority Institution (HBCU/MI) goal which is reported as part of the Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) goal in accordance with DFARS 226.370-8.

San Diego City College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.
